From Wikipedia:

The presentation of professional wrestling as being entirely legitimate or unscripted. Prior to the mid-1980s, this was universally maintained across all wrestling territories and promotions. Used by some in the industry as a verb- to hide or keep something a secret.

Storywise, The SWS work like a real wrestling show, as in characters have a life outside the ring and behave completely different when out-of-gimmick. We could say kayfabe refers to making wrestling matches look "believable" or as "real and competitive" as possible. Because of The SWS being a fictional show, all matches will look more serious and risky than they actually are, also thanks to the illustrated nature of it.

Don't try this at home, school or anywhere!
